Sustainability Council: STUV focuses on the future

STUV thinks green: New Sustainability Council gains momentum

STUV sets an example for greater sustainability and establishes a Sustainability Council. The council's goal is to further promote sustainability in all areas of the company. The council, which includes representatives from all departments, discusses innovative ideas, assigns tasks and decides on measures that are then implemented throughout the company.

Initial measures include:

• Neutral printing and optimised dimensions for product packaging: this enables us to recycle the packaging, save raw materials and reduce waste.
• Switch to environmentally friendly bubble wrap: STUV's new bubble wrap not only saves storage space and costs, but also provides better protection for products during transport.

In addition to these new measures, STUV has been working for a long time to become more environmentally friendly. Further measures that STUV has already implemented include:

• 2.000 m² photovoltaic system on the STUV roof
• Construction of a modern combined heat and power plant
• 10 charging stations for electric vehicles
• Retrofitting to LED luminaires
• Retrofitting to energy-efficient machines
